2K has today lifted the lid on WWE 2K25, revealing a PS5, PS4 release date of 14th March 2025 for the standard version and Roman Reigns as the cover star. A Deadman Edition headlined by The Undertaker and Bloodline Edition featuring both Reigns' and Solo Sikoa's faction members will release one week earlier. You can catch the full reveal trailer above.
This year's instalment brings the typical upgrades and enhancements, like a roster of over 300 wrestlers, new match types (chain wrestling, bloodline rules, and underground), and advancements in the MyGM, MyFACTION, and MyRISE modes. The standout features in WWE 2K25, though, are the new 2K Showcase mode focused on The Bloodline, and an entirely new The Island offering.

Only available in the current-gen version (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC), The Island is a new "interactive world made up of a series of areas built around different WWE themes". In it, you'll explore and challenge other players to compete for a WWE contract by impressing Roman Reigns. You'll complete quests, compete in live events, and customise your personal superstar to "rule beyond the ring", as the press release puts it.
Roman Reigns said: "I am personally and professionally excited that the Original and Only Tribal Chief and the extended Anoaβi family are the focus of WWE 2K25. Weβve been building toward this moment for generations and I challenge players everywhere to show me and my Wiseman, Paul Heyman, what theyβve got, and prove theyβre worthy of the attention of their Tribal Chief."
The standard PS5, PS4 version, releasing 14th March 2025, costs $69.99. The Deadman Edition and The Bloodline Edition both launch a week earlier on 7th March, and cost $99.99 and $129.99 respectively. Will you be playing this year's entry? Sign up for a spot in The Bloodline in the comments below.

Nice cover, I like how Paul Heyman is on it too.
That's my tribal chief. The man who's been carrying the WWE on his back for years until a certain fake blonde came in and ruined everything.
This is 1 of those 3rd party games where if it's true Nintendo won't let other companies talk about their Switch 2 games after officially unveiling the console, makes no sense. I'd have to think Switch 2 could handle a port of the PS4 version but could it get the PS5 only Island?
But Nintendo gotta Nintendo. π
Taker is the GOAT, but whether I buy this will come down to if they include all versions of Bray Wyatt.
I really struggle to see how a bloodline showcase is going to work without people such as Edge, Bryan and Brock involved. They were all key elements to the bloodline story. Also hoping theyβve done away with the cut to live action during showcase, itβs never been as good as it was during 2k15
@Lukeaj93 they can very easily not include Edge and Bryan - not difficult at all.
Brock might not be an issue at all as he was still in the Showcase mode last year, so they could do the same here.
Releasing on PS4 in 2025 is wild.
I still keep hoping theyβll do an offshoot game mid year like they used to do with those weird legends arcade style games. But this time with a no mercy like engine and a modern roster plus updates to match types and wrestler count.
@Netret0120 Iβm guessing itβll have a switch 2 release as well and itβs probably around the same level.
@Netret0120 Missing the new showcase mode though to be fair.
I LOVE YOU SOLO ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»
Just gonna wait until it's on Plus essential or extra. Not a fan of them leaving half the roster behind a paywall when it's a yearly purchase
I acknowledge my tribal chief βοΈ
Paul Heymanβs spot with Drew McIntyre last night with the cover reveal was pretty good haha, Heymanβs so much fun to watch.
Dom and Liv should be on the cover!
Acknowledge him βοΈ
